Demonstrates a working understanding of all the resources available in relation to current Tax and VAT requirements associated to the successful completion of day to day activities. Ability to demonstrate an excellent level of technical insurance knowledge and understanding of the Industry and its regulators Person Specification: At least 3 years’ experience working within a Lloyds insurance Broker Experience in Marine or Property & Casualty (preferable)Attention to detail and accuracy High level of accountability. Self-motivated and able to work with a degree of autonomy. Strong computer skills and aptitude to learn bespoke packages Robust verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates high degree of problem solving Work under some pressure at peak periods maintaining order control and quality out puts Ability to be able to manage own priorities and know when to escalate non routine issues Demonstrates positive and tenacious attitude and can do behaviour with strong accountability Ability to develop and sustain relationships at all levels allowing the opportunity to influence outcomes Ref 8074

Marine Cargo Broker Backup to 55,000 Leading well established LLoyd's Brokers have a new role within their Cargo department for an experienced Broker backup. * Produce slips and endorsements * accurate generation and issue of addenda and debit/credit notes. * Produce evidence of insurance/certificates * Premium Processing * Process original and adjusted premium to companies and bureaux * Manage premium payment and cash reconciliation * Uses the correct type of closing (e.g. De-linking, Signing and Accounting) and generates the correct market closing documentation * All Premium Payment Warranties (PPW) * Monitors, pursues the receipt of funds from assureds to ensure settlement terms/PPWs are met, or escalates problems to Divisional Management * Produces relevant statistical reports, and underwriting information. * Create, check and maintain records of negotiations, presentations and communications with (re)insurers / reinsurers and clients. OPEN MARKET PROPERTY TECHNICIAN Responsible for Open market technical support in the Worldwide Property Division on Insurance/Reinsurance, single slip/multi-layered programmes, including catastrophe exposed areas. Your responsibilities: * Work as part of the North American team servicing business from North America and elsewhere as required by the Division, into the London and International market always ensuring client needs are met. * Day to day client servicing from initial submission of risks to hand over to technical team for invoicing. Includes, inter alia: * Check client record is set up in the broking system, preparing approval forms where necessary * Prepare renewal presentations for broke to underwriters * Analyse the insured risk in conjunction with the Broker and/or Producer to assess the client requirements, including working on schematics as required by the placement. * Prepare Open Market Reform Contracts including endorsements and any adjustments, working in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring conditions and terms of cover in response to client’s needs. * Produce client documentation as required by departmental procedures, complying with internal service standards and FCA, ensuring Contract Certainty. * Diary subjectivities/premium payment warranties and conditions and liaise with client and Broker to ensure they are complied with * Prepare statistical analysis including loss runs where necessary * Provide guidance to less experienced members of the Open Market technical team. * Undertake any other responsibilities which may become necessary for the proper performance of the role Your skills & knowledge: * Experience handling Worldwide open market business, in particular North American business * Knowledge of Total Objects * Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes/Outlook and Internet Explorer * An understanding of regulatory and tax requirements in the territories concerned, using Crystal where appropriate * Can manage own workload and act independently * Strong communication skills (including written and verbal (both internally and externally * Use of Electronic Placement systems * Aptitude for mathematics * Understanding and affinity for relationship building * Ability to work collaboratively with others Ref 8152
