Our client who is an established, independent general insurance broker is looking for a Part-Time Personal Lines Insurance Administrator to join their team in their Hertfordshire, SG6 office. The purpose of the role is to service the insurance needs of existing customers, providing quality customer care, ensuring that documents are obtained and despatched promptly, and all issues raised by the client are effectively dealt with. Main Duties: * Liaise as necessary with insurers in relation to client’s policies * To actively discuss additional products, cover and services that the client needs and wants * Client files up to date, tidy and in keeping with company guidelines * Work within applicable delegated U/W authorities Skills Required: * 1 years + experience within an insurance related role * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to communicate effectively. * Comfortable with IT systems, knowledge of Open Gi would be a bonus. * Attention to detail. * Able to use initiative. The role will be working within the Sport & Entertainment team, servicing existing clients as well as trying to gain new business. Main Duties: * Respond to enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties promptly and professionally. * Work within agreed authority levels to manage client needs. * Advise clients on suitable insurance options based on their demands and needs. * Process new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements. * Input accurate data into back office systems and maintain records. * Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure risk acceptance at favourable rates. * Prepare reports on new and existing risks for management. * Take responsibility for managing tasks and updates using the Diary System Essential Skills Required: * Commercial insurance experience. * Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships. * Understanding of broking and underwriting processes. * Highly organised, with good planning skills. * Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.
