DATA ANALYST to 35,000 City of London Hybrid working - 3 days/2 days Reporting into the Lead developer, creating reports from the B.I. Reporting Tool (Tableau) in order to provide timely and accurate Management Information/Operational Reports for the business. Ability to critically evaluate data, demonstrate problem solving skills and be able to interpret findings, present conclusions and communicate recommendations for better decision making. * Play a key role in developing and shaping the company’s Business Intelligence offering. * Gathering reporting requirements and creating reports/dashboards using Bl reporting tool (Tableau) whilst ensuring information is reconciled and accurate. * Data querying and manipulation. * Monitor and audit data quality. * Set up and maintain automated data flows and ETL jobs. * Ensuring data synchronisation is being performed successfully and working with third parties to resolve any issues. * Understanding of data structures from core broking system * Developing and producing management information reports * Producing documentation for users and on-going internal support. * Facilitating user acceptance testing and logging issues where necessary * Assistance with user support and providing training to non-technical users * Accurate and timely preparation of daily and monthly reports and service the need for adhoc reports when required. * Organizing and chairing meetings/workshops with business users and senior stakeholders Knowledge and skills * Preferred data analyst experience (ideally within insurance broking) * Preferred knowledge of Bl reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI. * Preferred SQL scripting experience writing queries, data extraction and data warehouse * Excellent numerical and analytical skills * Able to engage with users and stakeholders at all levels. * An appreciation of current IT technologies and able to discuss and explain to stakeholders. * Authority and skill to establish good working relationships at all levels of seniority within the company. * Takes initiative when appropriate and ensures that the correct people are involved to reach a suitable decision. * Attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal communication * Intermediate excel knowledge * Critical thinking and problem solving * Strong analytical skills REF 8508
