Leading City based Insurance Company have a new role for an experienced Human Resources Assistant. Working in a busy and successful team covering all aspects of HR.



Job Purpose:

The Human Resource Assistant position will support the Human Resources Manager and more broadly the HR team, by ensuring that HR procedures, systems, processes and controls are maintained to a high level of accuracy and by providing support and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people related topics or queries.



Key Responsibilities:

·Build professional working relationships with employees and managers to support and guide on HR policy and practice

·Take responsibility for the employee on-boarding process from offer stage through to first day induction, managing the process flow and all related administration in a timely manner

·Support HRM and Head of HR with ER cases, arranging and attending meetings and taking notes as required

·Support cyclical HR activities such as performance review, pay cycles, talent reviews, engagement surveys etc.

·Manage the probationary review process liaising with managers to obtain feedback, escalating issues to the HRM as required

·Take the lead on Flexible Working applications, liaising with Managers ensuring the correct procedure is followed and escalating matters to the HRM when required

·Guide managers and employees on policy and procedure related to family care such as maternity, paternity and parental leave

·Maintain accurate data including absence, organization charts and HR MI

·Maintain data in all HR systems to a high degree of accuracy e.g. PeopleSoft, dealing with employee queries as required

·Respond to reference requests including those required under SM&CR

·Manage the leavers process including exit interviews, IT access and changes. Regularly produce a report on Exit interview data to HRM and Head of HR

·Assist with Learning and Development activities such as individual training needs, events and presentations

·With the L&D Manager, manage the Apprenticeship Levy and professional development Support

·Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SM&CR, Risk and Compliance activities to meet our commitments to the FCA and PRA

·Maintain and update the HR Intranet and other HR related systems as required

·Support the HRM and Heads of HR (UK and Europe) with ad-hoc tasks and duties as required from time to time

·Provide cover for other members of HR as required



Skills and Experience Specification:

·Previous relevant generalist HR experience

·The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or hold a relevant professional qualification such as CIPD

·A clear communicator both written and verbal

·Highly organized and able to manage successfully with multiple activities

·Attention to detail and a pride in accuracy

·High pace and resilience with a client service mentality

·Good IT skills with Microsoft Office and HR related systems such as PeopleSoft
