The Corporate department offers a full range of products for all types of business. They offer face-to-face meetings wherever practical, working with clients to build tailored insurance programmes for their business.



About the Role:

·Provide a quality service to existing clients, covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements; to advise, arrange and secure the appropriate cover at a competitive premium.

·Seek and secure new accounts and generate new business and to design insurance programmes for the protection of the material assets and liabilities of clients and oversee their effective operation.



Key Duties:

·Deal with new business and renewals over the phone or face to face

·Supervise or carry out the arrangement of insurance for clients.

·Work towards and achieve team and individual targets on renewal retention and new business development

·Gather intelligence for the purpose of obtaining new clients:

oResearch such clients and approach them

oFollow up the approach and investigate their existing cover

oPrepare and present a report which will satisfy their insurance needs

oAdvise colleagues of such information obtained as could be of potential use.

·Ensure that all communications with customers are accurately recorded

·Input new business onto the system including renewals and endorsements.

·Exercise judgement when reviewing proposals, either new or renewals

·Attach correct policy wordings to certificates including any other wording (exclusions, conditions, warranties, etc.).

·Liaise with Claims Handlers when appropriate.



Competences

·Deal with customers - Analyses and assesses customer needs

·Presents recommendations to customers

·Provides broking services to clients

·Knowledge and understanding of core policies including current market conditions.

·Knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial and/or private customers.

·Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters and reports

·Confident and effective telephone skills
