ABOUT THE ROLE:

Work with the Head of Claims to ensure that operational objectives are met. Support direction and structure for the claims division and participate in the development, communication and implementation of the strategy for the claims division. Act as the principle reporting channel for the business on operational matters including regulatory reporting.



Key Tasks & Responsibilities

·Ensuring that the Risk Solutions Claims Policies & Procedures are understood and implemented in the claims division

·Relationship manager with key providers, specifically the main software provider

·In conjunction with the Head of Risk Solutions Claims, responsible for compiling the annual business plan

·Responsible for ensuring that the budgeting process is conducted in an effective and timely manner with the results effectively communicated and consolidated within the business plan

·In conjunction with the Head of Claims monitor financial performance and forecast against budget, developing plans to take remedial action where appropriate

·Day to day management of the Claims Handler function via line management

·Engage with business leaders, COOs and Operations across the business units

·Engage with the group to ensure that Claims goals and objectives are achieved

·Develop and deliver operational change strategy

·Support Head of Claims to deliver wider strategic goals of the claims function

·In respect of claims, work with the market management team to ensure that there is a co-ordinated and consistent approach to market relationships

·Responsible for ensuring Business Continuity, Risk Register, succession and other businesses critical plans are effective and up to date

·Lead specific projects as required



Key Competencies:

·Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and Associates

·Operational experience within London Market claims

·Deal with escalation of day to day issues

·Working with the software provider to manage the relationship

·Develop MI internally and externally with clients
