Main purpose of role:



·To support the Underwriting Team in receiving client data and producing accurate and timely bordereaux reports to Insurers.

·To work with underwriters to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and reports.

·To manage Scheme and Broker declarations and credit control in a timely basis.

·Day to day general accounts transaction processing on bespoke system.



Key Responsibilities:



·Ensuring company service standards are met at all times.

·Analysing and producing accurate monthly bordereaux returns to all Alpha Insurers.

·Reconciling schemes bordereaux with client receipts and liaising with Underwriters on differences and queries

·Reconciling financial systems to ensure integrity of financial data.

·Entering web related receipts onto system back end and matching with premiums paid

·Emailing monthly web and manual statements to all active brokers

·Monthly reconciliation of insurer and debtor web accounts

·Maintaining sound credit control procedures. Escalating overdue accounts to Underwriters where required

·Monitoring of clients and other receipts into IPA account.

·Contacting clients by telephone and email to ensure timely receipt of payments

·Responding to and resolving client queries, liaising with other Alpha team members where required

·Prepare list of insurers payments for processing on the IBA bank accounts.

·Developing and maintaining external customer and supplier contacts to enhance customer service provision.



Person Specification:



Technical skills, knowledge and experience

·Experience of working in an accounts or bordereaux processing role in an insurance environment

·Strong numeric skills including good knowledge of Excel

·Methodical approach with a sharp eye for detail

·General understanding of the insurance market

·Ability to work as part of a small team as well as capable of ensuring individual responsibilities are met.

·Good communication skills both written and spoken

·Be capable of making decisions.

·Customer focussed
