Summary About the Company:

A global Fortune 500 company with 62 offices in 20 countries who provides coverage for hard-to-place risks that generally do not fit in the underwriting criteria of standard insurance carriers, and offers specialty insurance for a variety of niche businesses across the globe.



About The Role:

Supervise the central support team, who provide a dedicated administration support service to the underwriting, claims, legal and finance teams. The main tasks performed in the team are: claims payments, Employers Liability reconciliation, reporting and audits, logging of underwriting data onto in-house database, scanning and filing.



This is a hard-working team of 6 staff. This role is replacing someone who has moved internally for personal career progression. The role will include the supervisory duties as below as well as hands on operational duties with the team. Key experience is being able to juggle priorities and being a team player.



Key Duties and accountabilities:

·Perform day to day management of resource, team workflow and business queries.

·Ensure that team daily/weekly/monthly work targets are met and performed to a high standard.

·Work with the management team to build, improve and maintain business relationships.

·Perform team appraisals that set appropriate individual targets, with regular 1-2-1 conversations.

·Provide time and support to management for recruitment and team development.

·Work collaboratively with other team supervisors to provide management support during absence.

·Constantly strive to improve process efficiencies.

·Actively participate and provide support to business projects.



Key Skills, knowledge and experience:

·Have experience working in the Insurance industry. London Market knowledge is preferable.

·Possess excellent customer service skills and focus on customer needs.

·Demonstrate high levels of accuracy with close attention to detail.

·Have experience managing large work volumes, changing priorities and tight deadlines.

·Display well-developed communication skills at all business levels, including interacting with external business contacts

·Embrace change and support your team through change management situations effectively

·Be a keen team-player with the ability to adapt to differing situations and work collaboratively to achieve common goals

·Be willing to work in a flexible manner, in terms of hours and tasks performed



This role would suit someone with management experience or someone who is motivated looking for their next step in their career.
