A leading Reinsurance Broker, delivering integrated solutions through its industry-leading analytics and advisory services, highly specialised product knowledge and trading relationships with reinsurance markets around the world.

Position Summary:

Assist with the management of the servicing activities of a busy team and staff and for service operations and functions applicable to the Line of Business and Client base within the team.

Develop and direct team members and to support Team Manager in the delivery of their collective team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

·Under the leadership of the Team Manager, direct activities related to service operations and functions within a Client Support Process or Fiduciary Team. Provide guidance on internal governance and compliance on policies and procedures.

·Responsible for operational issues within the team; maintain robust operational management discipline using metrics to achieve all processing targets, ensuring all Colleagues are operating within and adhering to all published procedures and professional standards.

·Direct input into people related matters potentially including recruitment, performance management, training, talent mapping, succession planning, status changes, etc.

·Provide input on decisions regarding complex, tactical and operational short-term issues within the team; provide recommendations and regular feedback to the Team Manager.

·Contribute to, and where required, actively participate in change efforts, projects and promote ideas to improve our provision of service.

·Take a Lead role in team meetings and activities to promote the sharing of opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions; maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.

·Collaborate with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments. Support and provide training, mentoring and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing.

·Ensure assigned tasks are managed effectively and in a timely manner ensuring Client measurement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to.

·Promote and assist in the identification and delivery of new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions.

·Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets. Understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices.

Skills & Qualifications

·Ability to utilise and interpret reporting metrics to identify issues and direct activities to appropriately resolve and mitigate against future exposure.

·Ability to inspire and motivate high performance within the team environment. A strong manager of people with the ability to lead and develop a high performance team, whilst displaying a positive and inspirational attitude.

·Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within a changing environment.

·Able to challenge appropriately, supporting business cases with facts and information.

·Understanding of project management methodology, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.

·Engage, influence and negotiate with Clients, Markets and Colleagues in a professional manner.

·Consistently provide guidance by coaching and/or training Colleagues.

·Consistently deliver superior Client service.

·Strong ability to successfully manage workload considerate to varying demands, effectively managing expectations of all Customers and Stakeholders.

·Act as a role model leading by example, displaying a positive attitude and behaviour consistent within a committed, 'can do' culture.
