Leading Insurer based in the city have a role for an experienced Senior Modelling Developer.

Underwriting Modelling is the provision of Catastrophe Modelling, Exposure Management and Technical Pricing capabilities and expertise across the Group.

The role of the Senior Modelling Developer is to provide mathematical and programming support to Underwriting Modelling in deploying analytics tools and providing automation to many modelling processes.

Development of automation is critical in reducing expense in the underwriting modelling department and eliminating mistakes.

The development of better analytical tools will improve the speed and quality of decision making in both the control of aggregates and underwriting.

*Programme and develop tools and utilities as directed by the Development Manager

*Support and enhance as required new and existing tools and applications within the Catastrophe Modelling team.

*Support the development and investigation of appropriate mathematical/catastrophe modelling solutions to underwriting modelling initiatives.

*Seek to identify opportunities for new tools and utilities to improve workflow, reporting or controls within the Catastrophe Modelling Production team.

*Support SBU Business Partner teams with ad hoc projects as required.

*Seek to identify opportunities to improve legacy tools and utilities and where suitable drive towards consistency of approach across SBUs.

*Help with training and usage of deployed tools within the teams.

*Develop a sound understanding of business, workflows and processes across the teams in order to identify opportunities to add value, and be in a position to "sense check" processes.

*Take part in ad hoc project work as necessary.

*Support the management of stakeholder communication and relationships both directly and indirectly.

*Attention to detail and an ability to C# programming experience self-check work · Microsoft development stack

*Problem solving (Visual Studio, .NET frameworks,

*Ability to respond to tight deadlines MVC, JQuery, AJAX, Unit testing, in a demanding environment SQL Server, Team Foundation

*Proactive, flexible and adaptable Server) with a drive to succeed · Ability to peer review colleagues' · Good relationship skills work and to provide positive feedback and guidance where necessary

*experience in an insurance or reinsurance environment working with catastrophe and/or actuarial models

*Strong mathematical and computational ability
