Purpose of Role:

To undertake designated duties within the Broking Department in accordance with the Company's requirements.

Job Competencies:


* Support the Broking / Underwriting Technicians with new business enquiries and insurance renewals and provide a first class administrative service.

* Handle day to day queries and act as point of contact for the Broking Team maintaining a rapid response rate according to agreed standards in efficient, professional and courteous manner.

* Build and maintain productive working relationships with all staff across the Company, insurers and external agencies.

* Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the Broking Team and for other departments as required.

* Log information on correspondence received, where required, and maintain detailed and accurate records

* Be aware of the availability of staff likely to receive inbound calls.

* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors

* To provide support and assistance to the Broking Director and Account Director as required

* To provide reception assistance when required

* To liaise with colleagues to share information about the current insurance marketplace, and to assist then with any insurance queries.

* To comply with any applicable services standards at all times, to ensure the best service is provided to clients.

* To provide insurers and underwriters with accurate information to ensure they can assess each risk correctly.

* To maintain accurate files and to ensure correspondence and telephone notes are correctly recorded in the Policy Administration System.

* To maintain client's and the Company's confidentiality at all times

* To fully understand Policies and Procedures and ensure they are adhered to

* To comply with the Company Policy on Information Security and Acceptable Use.

* To undertake all other duties as reasonably required and directed

Skills Required:

* Excellent customer service & IT skills and telephone manner

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

* Ability to gather and analyse information for the client and resolve problems

* Ability to identify and respond appropriately to an individual clients level of understanding

* Ability to identify and match products with client requirements

* Ability to persuade and influence others

* Ability to demonstrate, understanding and apply company values. These are embedded in all roles.
