The successful candidate will be ADVANCED MS Excel & Access (able to build databases from scratch) and ideally SQL experience. A background in general insurance is essential and knowledge of the Lloyds/London market would be desirable. You will have a working knowledge of insurance MI reporting which will include familiarity with underwriting triangles, year of account, accruals (gross & RI) together with earned & estimated premiums. RISK ANALYST £40,000 - £55,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a Lloyd's managing based in the City. Our client provides a range of services to the London Insurance Market are seeking to recruit a Risk Analyst reporting to the Head of Risk Management. The purpose of the position is to perform a key role as part of the Risk Management Function in developing and embedding the Risk Management Framework. Duties will include ongoing maintenance of the Risk Framework and documentation, building and maintaining appropriate Risk Reporting for internal and external clients' needs, including maintenance of a suite of Key Risk Indicators for monitoring adherence to the organisation's Risk Appetite and developing and maintaining the Risk Registers and the Issues and Risks Log for the organisation ensuring they remain current and updating process iterative. You will provide summary reports of the status of Risks and Controls for onward reporting to Committee board meetings as appropriate, including analysis of breaches of control and co-operate with the other governance functions within the organisations to ensure a coordinated approach to managing risks within the organisation. In order to be successful for this position, candidates will need to have experience of working within the Lloyd's/London Insurance Market either in a Risk Management/Internal Audit team or a professional practice, have appropriate professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/ACII/MIRM), be educated to a Degree Level and have knowledge of Solvency II.
