Financial Controller upto £60,000 Our client, an Insurance Broker, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their growing team based in the City. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for all matter relating to management, regulatory and statutory accounting. Be responsible for the management of the Purchase Ledger Controller and assist the Finance Director with preperation and reporting of annual budgets. DUTIES: - Assist with the preparation of group annual budgets, forecasts and cash flows. - Prepare monthly packs incorporating consolidated management accounts, variance reporting and bank covenant forecasts. - Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns - Preparation of group annual budgets, forecasts and cash flows. Enhance/ develop the forecast model. - Deliver audited financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries. - Manage cash flow and payment runs - Preparation of audit work papers and liaising with external advisor on the annual audit - Manage client money regulation compliance and quarterly FCA returns. Manage clockwork RMAR reporting and audit free of FD dependence. - Develop and maintain controls over payments and balances due. - Oversee payroll and benefits processing, and HMRC compliance - Implement accounting systems and develop departmental reporting - Oversee and integrate new acquisition accounting and create reports and controls. In order to be successful, candidates must be Qualified and Chartered Accountant. The successful candidate should also have experience with Financial modelling, Purchase ledger management and advanced Excel skills. Accounts Manager - mon-thur - essex - to £38,000 pro rata Small Insurance Organisation based just outside Chelmsford, Essex have a role for an experienced Accounting Manager to undertake a full Financial Accounting role. Experience is essential in the following :- ·Cash book posting ·Bank Reconciliations (GBP / USD / Euro) ·Producing client invoices (debit / credits) on a weekly basis and reconciling with supplier invoices (debit / credits) ·Controlling Credit with clients and suppliers (issuing monthly statements and sending interim chasers / phone calls etc.) ·Producing monthly management accounts (income split between class of business, payments, commission breakdowns, 3rd party revenues, P&L statement) ·Creating reports from Sage for Directors ·Preparing year end quarterly accounts etc.to trial balance ·Liaising with Accountant to run monthly payroll ·VAT Returns ·Managing office / Director expenses ·Assisting with year-end / FCA returns ·Helping with general day to day items ·Insurance Industry and Sage Line 50 experience ·Able to reconcile accounts where payments split over various insurance companies / currencies ·Prepare quarterly / year end accounts etc. to trial balance ·Able to create and implement new processes please asap if you are keen to work a 4 day a week role locally
