Sitting within the Underwriting Management department, this role has responsibility for delivering on-going analytical and administrative support as required by the Underwriting Management adding to the oversight, planning capabilities and smooth operation of the department. Duties will include producing defined Underwriting Management Information reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis covering all aspects of the P&L at a Syndicate and Affiliate Office reporting level. Claims Technician - Cross Class ... to £25,000 ... City We have an opportunity to join a respected niche,Lloyd's registered broker based in the City, close to Aldgate. they are seeking to recruit an experienced Claims Technician who can take sole charge of a varied portfolio of claims which will include; EL/PL/Products Liabilities, Property,Motor fleet and some Cargo. The purpose of the role will be to provide day-to-day management and effective administration of claims from 1st notice through to closure. This will involve: + accurate input of claims information onto a claims management system + timely transfer of information and documentation to relevant parties, internally & externally. + collation of claims data and monitor claim progress + production of claims documentation for presentation to underwriters + liaison with clients,insurers and adjusters + resolution of queries + provide technical advice to clients and account executives + monitor claims collections & payments. This role will suit someone who has technical knowledge of UK commercial liability and property claims who is confident to also deal with claims from other lines. Excellent communication skills are essential and some experience using ECF would be preferred. They are active in marine cargo, specialist motor, commercial retail & wholesale , reinsurance, facilities and trade credit for a global clientele. You will be working closely with the Senior Account Executive this role will be to provide expert and prompt advise to new and existing clients regarding their risk requirements and liaise with relevant insurers. In addition to client liaison you will collate risk information, update the database and files, review risk information and produce broking documentation. The role will involve day-to-day account management, resolving queries and protecting the interests of clients. This role would suit an individual who is seeking to develop their career and operate in a innovative, progressive and entrepreneurial environment. Commercial Underwriting Manager Manchester £40,000 - £50,000 An independent Insurer is looking for a Commercial Underwriting Manager to provide quotations, MTA’s and renewals with documentation in accordance with procedures and instructions ensuring service level agreements are achieved Your main duties will include; 1. Ensure that own work (and the other members of your team) is organised and prioritised in accordance with agreed service, technical and data input, accuracy and TCF requirements. 2. Develop technical and behavioural capabilities of your direct reports 3. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and brokers undertaking external visits, review meetings and audits where appropriate. 4. Ensure a good working knowledge of the products, procedures and management information is achieved and maintained supported by training as required. 5. Achieve your key objectives and any additional objectives agreed with you by your manager and any other ad hoc tasks. 6. Suggest and or, evaluate and, where appropriate, implement innovative solutions that will support the company and its business partners by increasing profitability, efficiency or customer service. 7. Provide technical assistance and guidance in accordance and within own underwriting authority, refer all cases above authority level (making recommendations as necessary) and to provide assistance to colleagues, other departments and work on specific projects as and when required. You must have gained least 5 years Commercial insurance underwriting experience, have good written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational skills Computer literate and be ACII Qualified (or significantly progressing towards this)
